Polymer & Textile Processing Expertise

Solesis brings together Secant Group’s advanced textile technologies and Polyzen’s specialized polymer processing to create custom components for medical devices and life sciences applications with Charter Medical’s single-use technologies. Our capabilities span knitting, braiding, weaving, extrusion, molding, coating, forming, and more. Across these technologies, our teams pair material expertise with precision manufacturing to tailor structures, geometries, and performance to support complex design requirements. Solesis is a latex-free facility.

Film Extrusion
Creates single and multi-layer films with controlled barrier, permeability, and mechanical properties. Used in applications including structural heart devices, vascular grafts, hernia repair systems, and other MedTech devices.
Extrusion

Enhances durability, functionality, and device integration through surface treatments and multi-layer constructions. Used in applications including vascular grafts, catheter and delivery systems, implantable textiles, and drug delivery technologies.

coating
Produces seamless, thin-wall geometries and conformal coatings for complex medical applications. Supports applications including catheter components, sheaths, balloon-based systems, and other minimally invasive medical technologies.
Dip molding and coating 683x1024 1
Creates complex three-dimensional structures and high-integrity seals for medical devices and assemblies. Used in applications including surgical and implantable device components, catheter-based delivery systems, fluid management technologies, and single-use systems.
Thermo
Used to create specific film types, tubing interfaces, and poly pouches, or joining compatible materials to create edge seals, chambers, or fluid pathways for single-use containers and assemblies.
technologies
Used to cut film components to specified sizes and shapes.
Die cutting 683x1024 1
Joins materials using medical grade solvents or UV adhesives depending on material compatibility.
Solvent 683x1024 1
Tailors material properties to specific mechanical, physical, and degradation requirements. Used in applications including bioresorbable technologies, controlled drug delivery systems, vascular and structural heart therapies, implantable medical devices, and advanced therapeutic solutions.
Polymer Compounding

Engineers precision components for catheter, diagnostic, and drug delivery applications

Balloons
Knitting

Knitted fabrics deliver lightweight, conformable, and highly elastic structures. We control thickness, pore size, and elongation to develop textiles suited for applications where bulk, compliance, or controlled stretch are critical.

Post-Processing for Medical Device Solutions

Medical device textiles and polymers require precise and controlled finishing to become high-performing components in devices such as stents, hernia meshes, or synthetic ligaments.

At Solesis, we combine deep expertise in biomaterials and polymer processing to deliver advanced post-processing solutions that clean, shape, stabilize, and fine-tune textile properties such as thickness and permeability. These processes ensure every material maintains its structural and functional integrity within the human body. Techniques Include:

  • Calendering
  • Coating
  • Crimping
  • Heat Treatment
  • Laser Cutting (2D and 3D)
  • Post-Finishing and Final Packaging
  • Scouring
  • Stitching
  • Ultrasonic Welding, Sealing, and Sewing
